And why bother with super intense book learning if all you really want to do is work on cars?!mirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02052394218089165385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8128153839401266850.post-24114066501957969892012-04-07T19:31:11.870+02:002012-04-07T19:31:11.870+02:00Oh man such a great point! We have forced a decline in availability of trades labor which is very much needed if we are going to manufacture product. The plant I work at can not get enough machinists or tool and Die workers. They are just not available. Not a good thing! The labor market is becoming out of balance because we need all levels of workers to make it function right. (Eventually our dies will be made in Germany and now I know why)Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10757929719186858322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8128153839401266850.post-89137118613221709922012-04-07T12:53:40.749+02:002012-04-07T12:53:40.749+02:00that is so verrry different from here but certainl...that is so verrry different from here but certainly has merit.<br />it is great that everyone is equally important but skilled differently. that's something we try to talk ourselves into over here, but, not sure we're very s uccessful at believing it.Taidukhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07684980386130764138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8128153839401266850.post-21292684139841761252012-04-06T18:57:41.752+02:002012-04-06T18:57:41.752+02:00That's awesome! Our mentality has its benefits (lots of resources to help kids) but our educational system had a hard time accepting different learning curves. If you choose not to go to college it gives others reason to look down on you.Leahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06144946407267029375noreply@blogger.com
