I found out Bethanne knows how to crochet and I thought that would be a fun life skill to have. So she came over Tuesday night and we had a great time learning that I'm not too good at it ;o) I told her I used to be artsy-fartsy-craftsy so I don't know what the problem is! I'm not going to give up just yet... but I may need a few more lessons.
I think the biggest problem for me was that it's not something I can easily do while talking... which, ahem... I do a lot! ;o) Bethanne promises it will get easier and become a nice, fun, relaxing thing to do.
I still have my doubts, but we shall see! There are no cute, soft, homemade blankets or scarves in our immediate future!
I want to learn too. It's on my list! Now that I'm done being a human incubator, maybe I'll have time in the near future to pursue some hobbies. :) Keep at it!
