10 Ways to Make Sure Your 25th Birthday Rocks

1.  Unexpected gifts.  I did one of those "hey Babe I want to buy these shoes for my birthday, okay?" so I wasn't really expecting him to get me anything else for my birthday.  Wa-la!  He came home with three beautiful red pots for my indoor herb garden.  Cilantro, basil, and parsley here we come!

2.  Sleep in.  That's all I told Jesse I wanted for my birthday... (unless you count that I made him wait on me hand and foot by constantly using the excuse "but it's my birthday Babe!")  And he certainly delivered.  Not only did he get up with the girls at 8am, but he took them right out to run errands with him.  I didn't hear a thing until 11am when they got back!

3.  Stay in bed the rest of the afternoon.  I didn't do a blessed thing until 2:30 in the afternoon!  It was amazing.  Jesse brought the girls in to snuggle and say Happy Birthday before he put them down for a nap.  Then he left to work out and I went back to sleep!  I couldn't believe how great it felt to just stay in bed all day!

4.  Long hot bath with lavender essential oil.  Ahhhhh so nice :o)

5.  Read all your birthday greetings.  The 2,000 facebook messages and emails I got really made my day.  I love hearing from family and friends on my birthday!

6.  Eat chips and salsa for lunch.  You don't have to be well-balanced (or cook) on your birthday!

7.  Stay in your pajamas all day.  I toyed with the idea of going out for dinner... but I just got to go out for dinner this weekend and I have a really busy week ahead.  There's something going on every day till next Tuesday!  So I decided that the best way for me to celebrate this birthday would be to stay home.  And so we did!

8.  Pig out on pizza.  After the girls were in bed for the night J and I ordered a monster XL pizza from Pizza Attack.  And I ate way too much... but it was so good!

9.  Have a LOST marathon.   I know I'm way late in joining the LOST party... but I never really watched it before so now we're working our way through from the beginning.  Jesse enjoys watching me totally freak out and get confused by all the crazy twists and turns ;o)  And he likes to taunt me with the fact that he knows what's going to happen next.  Jerk.

10.  Be thankful.  I have really great little girls.  And a really really great husband.  My birthday was exactly the relaxing day that I needed.  Too bad every Monday can't be so refreshing, huh?
