Dublin: The Home Front

I don't want to forget one last post about Dublin.  Because what was going on at home during my Momcation is a very important detail (to me).  Also, I don't want to miss the opportunity to brag on My Love a little.

Jesse had a loooooong weekend.  Not only was he watching Double Trouble for four days... but he was doing it coming off of a night schedule.  I think the first day he was up for almost 30 hours straight!

Not only did he keep them alive and well (all I really asked!) but he regularly posted their antics on facebook and he even posted this adorable picture of them.  It was so fun to be able to get online at our hostel in the morning and see what adventures my family was having back home.  Seeing the girls chubby little grins just made me so happy that I have such a great husband to a) send me on a vacation and b) take care of my two favorite girls so well!

But that's not all!  I came home to a picked up house!  And three loads of laundry all clean and ready to fold (this may not seem that sweet but it's a big deal cause he hates folding and I don't mind it... but I hate having laundry backed up... so having it clean was so nice!).  And then he let me sleep in a little the next morning... waking up first to take on one more round of early morning poopy diapers :o)  What a guy!

He also got me some beautiful yellow flowers.  I love yellow... so so so much!

Back to the girls... maybe they didn't have the most balanced, healthy meals ever.  And maybe they wore mis-matched clothes and hardly ever went to bed "on time" ;o)  But I'm sure they enjoyed the Daddy time.  I'm positive they had fun, in fact.  Because when I went in to get them up from nap the day after I got home they BOTH yelled "Daddy!!!" as soon as the door opened!  Even Sam!

Speaking of Sam, there was one day in particular that she lunged from my arms INTO Daddy's arms and snuggled right up into his shoulder.  And while this gave me a little pang of sadness (Sammy has always been all-about-Momma) it also made me so so happy to see her so in love with Dadda, as she calls him.

I love that guy.  He doesn't just brighten my day.  He brightens my life!

    1. I know! I don't think I've ever seen them before so I have no idea what kind they are. But hey, yellow is yellow!

  2. I love that they love him a little more now :) One of the most adorable things ever is a dad cuddling with his little baby/babies :)
