Everyone always uses the phrase "two in diapers" with a cringe. But I really don't think it's that bad. Granted, I've only been at it for about five weeks. But I think cloth rocks. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it! :o)
That being said, I'm still looking forward to the day they can wipe their own tushies!
The moral of the story is that you should give cloth diapers a try! Come on, you know you want to! It's really easy! And soooo cheap! And so Eco-friendly! Do it, friends, do it!
I'd recommend you try it no matter what your kid's age or how many you have! Even if you only do it for a couple months and decide it's not your cup of tea, you can sell them on eBay and I bet you still would have saved yourself a little money during the time you used em! (Well... possibly... don't take my word on that one.)
Let me know if this sparks any new questions.
And this concludes our talk about diapers. I shall now resume the regular scheduled posts about the adventures of LJ and SJ, my Air Force Hubs, and my hippie kitchen experiments.
Thanks for listening ;o)
I'll do you one better on the "try it" ideas. Jillian's Drawers lets you try cloth diapers for $10. She'll send you a big box of a bunch of different kinds to try that all fit your baby's size. You try them for a month and if you hate it you send the box back and are refunded the cost of diapers in total minus $10.
ReplyDeleteShow off! ;o)
ReplyDeleteNo, she's so right people! I forgot about that. Listen to Hilary everyone! I think the only thing is you can't have any staining on the diapers if you're returning them... but it's not hard to get stains out, if you even get them stained in a month (unlikely).
love it - "regular scheduled...adventures"!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, enough of the boring cloth diaper stuff, right? ;o)
ReplyDeleteThough... I've been experimenting the last few night with overnight options for LJ so stay tuned!
ReplyDeleteOh - i didn't mean the dipey stuff was boring! I thought your choice of words was great! sorry bout that...
ReplyDeleteLJ is a real night time soaker?
Don't be sorry, I knew what you meant I was just teasing. Well she used to leak through, but it's been fine the past two nights. I'm working on adding more absorbancy and thinking of experimenting with ways to keep the wet off her skin as much.
