Today is Going to be a GOOD DAY

Romance, originally uploaded by alvaritz... ૐ.

On three day weekends, it really only feels like one full day off for us... since Jesse didn't get home till 7:30 last night and tomorrow we have church in the am and then he's at the squadron in the evening.

But that's okay... cause today is going to ROCK! First of all, the sun is brilliantly shining! Second of all, my cold symptoms are much improved so I should be able to keep up with LJ a little better.

And third of all, it's DATE NIGHT! And I mean, the first real true-blue date night since Sam's been around. Complete with NO BABIES WHATSOEVER! :o)

We're doing that cool babysitting switcheroo thing I've heard people like to do... the Kobularcik's (Andrew and Bonnie) are watching our kids tonight and then we're watching theirs next weekend! And since Sam is such a champ about sleeping good and taking a bottle, I have no qualms about leaving her!

Which means I get to fully enjoy an afternoon/evening of baby-free shopping, dinner, and possibly a movie!

HALLELUJAH! Especially after the crazy week Jesse's had... I'm really excited to have a whole evening together! I hope you enjoy your Saturday, too!

  1. I'm so excited for you and your date night. We haven't had one of those since our anniversary after having Giovanna. Yup...two and half years ago. Enjoy!

  3. We don't have anyone to babysit. My mom can come down sometimes but certainly not regularly. Our lives right now don't lend themselves very well to finding people we trust to watch our babies. Hopefully things will settle down once this semester is over. I'll be done and can spend time making roots and trustworthy friends. We're just gone all day and I'm gone all evening now that I'm working nights at the hospital. Someday...just enjoy one for us!
