I've said it once and I'll probably say it lots more... Sam is my morning girl. She's just like me, in that she can pretty much wake up at any time with a smile on her face, no matter how early. Some days she comes downstairs before Lily and we snuggle and read a few stories before Lil wakes up.
Then...
...we have to steer clear of Grumpy Girl for a little while. She sometimes needs a little longer to power on in the mornings. In fact, I think she prefers to be up almost an hour later than Sam most days... though I don't think little sis lets her sleep in that often ;o)
And the other day when I was snagging pics of me with them, I turned around to find her already tucked back under the living room blanket. She wasn't grumpy, per se, just not quite ready to smile. Which is fine.
I'm learning to let her be. Even if it means I have to be more patient and less rush rush go go go in the mornings.
She usually warms up a bit after some snuggles and kisses. And breakfast ;o)
she (the not-so-morning-girl) still has beautiful sparkly eyes and I can't wait to snuggle with her! the morning girl is *SURELY* her mother's daughter ***every*morning*from*the*time*she*could*walk*her*face*said***GOODMORNINGMOMMA***two*inches*from*my*face*** I know the not-so-morning-girl takes after her Daddy, but she's also like her Gigi!!
ReplyDeleteThen you two will have plenty of early morning snuggles while Dad, Sam, and I drink coffee on the balcony ;o)
