It's Happening Again

My Dearest Samantha,

Separation Anxiety is overrated.  Seriously.  Ask your big sis - she gave it a shot about this time last year and really, it's not that important of a developmental milestone.  I *know* you're learning that Momma's the best and all and I will try to remember that that's really what you're trying to communicate when you SCREECH AT THE TOP OF YOUR LUNGS next time I leave the room.  You're not trying to make my life miserable and you're not a poorly-adjusted-weirdo-kid.  This is normal.  It happens.  And it will be over soon.

Can you try to make it really soon?  REALLY?  I mean, I'll love you no matter what... but the screeching is not the most endearing noise you've ever made.

All my love,
Momma

  3. Caitlin... you (and every other person who has/will put up with my kids when they're going through this) are a saint.
