Happy Thansgiving!

Thanksgiving!  A day to celebrate the bounty of all we've been given.  A day to open our home to our friends.  A day to remember our families back home.  A day to make new memories and start new traditions.  A day that it is perfectly acceptable to stuff ourselves silly with tons of good food.

"Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man."
(Psalm 107:8)

I'm enjoying the peaceful quiet this Thanksgiving morning.  It's a special day but it starts like any other.  I'm thankful for the strength to rise early and enjoy a cup of coffee.  I'm thankful for my fleece Red Sox blanket.  For peacefully sleeping children and husband.  For a to-do list that is pretty much done.  For the chance to read in The Book and to get a little further in my book.  For the time to think of all I am thankful for... it's overwhelming... to breathe a quiet prayer of "thanks."

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  But especially to the Aiduks, Rawleighs, and Logues.  Miss you guys!  I'm so thankful for you all!

  1. Happy 'Thansgiving' to you, too! ;) It took me a good 30 seconds of just staring at your blog title to realize the misspelling. Oh, and before you call me a jerk for pointing out your spelling error, I shared it to point out that I stared at it, spelled it out, then spelled it out while pointing to each letter (twice) before I figured out why it didn't look quite right. Miss you! Hope you had a blast!!

  4. I most certainly did haha! And for the record... I know how to spell Thanksgiving. Typos happen a lot and I hardly even notice them, clearly!
