Iron Kettle Farm

This is the best little small town pumpkin farm ever.  I love it!  I have so many memories from Iron Kettle Farm as a kid.  We used to go every year to get our pumpkins, eat yummy treats, check out the farm animals, ride the hayride/walk through the corn maze (which we didn't do this time), and just celebrate fall in general.

And I'm absolutely in love with the pictures that Bethany took of Double Trouble in the pumpkins.  The lighting was just perfect and she was already taking pictures of Lily exploring the pumpkins... all I did was have the idea to plop Sam in Lily's lap and tell her to "hug Sissy".  Bingo!

It just makes my heart melt to watch them growing up together like this.  Sisterly love is the best.

I should know ;o)

Dear Bethany, Stephanie, Cassie, and Tan... I love you girls.  I hope my girls get to have the same best friend relationship with each other as I do with all of you.  They sure are two blessed little girls to have four such lovely Aunts!

Our Favorite Band Geek

This week was Spirit Week at West.  I had a lot of fun watching Stephanie rock her school spirit... primarily on Color War Day and on Pixar Day.  Have you ever seen a cuter Woody costume?  She's so creative!!

But of all the costumes she wore this week, this one is definitely my favorite :o)  The West High band is so amazing!  Tanya, Bethany and I went to the football game... but I'm not gonna lie, we were mostly there to see the halftime field show.

I love all the great glimpses of downtown Corning from the stadium.

High school football games are fun but high school bands are even better!

The flaming batons almost made me pee my pants ;o)

Here's a decent clip of the band.

And here's my cool little sis.

Sunny Fall Walk Down Market Street

To say we've had nice weather this week would be an understatement!  I'm loving the sunshine!  Though, it's a tad warm for the all-fall wardrobe I brought with me ;o)

We all went to my favorite small-town coffee shop, Soul Full Cup, to start the walk out right with a latte.  I love the character of that coffee shop!  Many a college-study-session and friend/sister-coffee-date have been had in that dear place.

For those of you who don't know, Corning is a super cute artsy glass town.  I love it.

We had a lovely parting lunch with Cass and Zave at Old World Cafe.  Dad met us there and we bumped into people he knew so he got to show off the grandkids.  That's one of the best parts about small towns :o)

Oh Corning, how I love thee in the fall.  I've missed you!

Peaches 'n Cream!

Cassie and I were lamenting on our way up from West Chester to Corning because we thought that our beloved Peaches 'n Cream would be closed by now.

How wrong (and pleasantly surprised!) we were!

So we got to take a trip down the road from my parents' house and enjoy all the fall colors of the cute little market.

And of course enjoy the fall flavors... mainly pumpkin ice cream!

Corning from The Makeout Spot ;o)

My Love "kidnapped" me and took me to a cool overlook earlier last week.  We got to freeze to death for a little bit and enjoy the pretty scenery... then he got me a Soul Full Cup latte.

Bye-bye again Corning.  Bye-bye again to my family... sniff sniff.  I love you guys!

We're safe and sound in Mass.  It's SO GOOD to be back home on the Cape as a family again.  The last time Jesse was here was a year ago!  Gramma and Grandpa Aiduk have LJ well stocked with some fun fun toys (pictures to come) and she's keeping them entertained with goofy goofy grins (pictures to come)!

The Snow Really is So So Pretty

 There's nothing like a snow-covered Market Street.

And no, it can't possibly have *anything* to do with the fact that I haven't had to deal with it for the whole winter! ;o)  I had to scrape my car off for the first time in a year this morning...

Come on!  They still have the twinkle lights up!  And with the snow... it's magical!
I love the fact that we got to experience one last storm here...

There.  I said it.

Goodbye!

Dear Corning, I love you! It has been a wonderful, what...6 years or so? You and I really got acquainted my junior year of high school, and we've been through a lot together since then! My family found a great church, met some amazing friends, and moved to you so we could be close to all of that! And then I met my soon-to-be-husband, and got engaged shortly after I graduated from your community college! Jesse and I have a ton of great memories thanks to you...he asked me out in the Wegman's cafe, we had tons of fun dates at your cool restaurants and parks, and we got married in one of your churches! Our first two apartments were great...I will miss the cozy neighborhood of Apt #2 in South Corning! I will miss Wegman's. I will miss Peaches-n-Cream. I will miss the hills that surround you. And most of all, I will miss my family that still lives with you. Sniff sniff. You've been good to me Corning...Love you! I'll think of you often as I start my new life in Mississippi! Love, Jessica
